This year’s Notting Hill Carnival will take
place 30-31 August and will attract in excess of 2 million
visitors.
The carnival started in 1964 as an
off shoot of the Trinidad Carnival and has since grown to the

Rio’s Mardi Gras Carnival.
Flamboyant dancers, steel bands, reggae and

parade route.

Sunday with all bands and performers under 21.
The route is slightly shorter to

Monday is the main carnival day with
activities on from 12pm to late.
Hundreds of stalls line the streets selling
food and drink from Jerk Chicken to Jamaican patties and
curries.
The Notting Hill Carnival is one of the
best free days out in
London.
The area gets extremely busy so
allow plenty of time to get around.
